Mavericks tweak starters: Barea in, Stevenson out

Down 2-1 in the NBA Finals, the Mavericks tried to set up their offense putting JJ Barea in the starting lineup in place defensive oriented DeShawn Stevenson for Game 4 against the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.
Backup center Brendan Haywood has the active roster after missing three games with a hip injury returned.
Stevenson main task was to meet Dwyane Wade. But he average 6.0 points per game, more than Barea.
Barea is averaging just 4.3 points per game against Miami, by 8.9 in the last three rounds of the playoffs. He has lost 18 of 23 shots.
But his style could help speed the Dallas series, said one of the changes in the Mavs need them to make the series.
I do what I do,  said Stevenson.  Made to go out to play the change of focus and simple. ... We need to stop, worried about D-Wade.
The way they started the last game, we need to give a different look, must try to get the ball.  Perhaps another reason for change is now Stevenson to replace the bank's Shawn Marion.
Marion played 43 minutes a great team in third game If Stevenson can contribute to the ground, Marion would be softer at the end of the game.
It is very difficult to apply to a position of attention and the best player on the planet for 43 minutes and well, and what you are guests at the other end,  said Dallas coach Rick Carlisle.  This is something that should not be allowed to happen in Game 3.  Haywood injured his right hip in Game 2
With rest and treatment, the swelling was down enough Haywood said last week that he might return. Was expected to test his injury by sprinting and changing direction, but Carlisle said he was not sure if this had happened.
Carlisle said he hoped that adrenaline to help enforce any pain he still feels Haywood.
The plan is that we try it, and I hope you do well,  said Carlisle.  But we'll see.  Ve worked hard to reduce swelling. He has had several MRIs. All these things we have here. Worked clear that we need it.  Although Haywood had just five points and seven rebounds in 22 minutes, the first two games, a reliable backup starter Tyson Chandler. Chandler, he played provisionally approved in Game 3, because he fears for errors that forced Dallas to leave on the third rail Ian Mahinmi enter.
Mahinmi scored two points and had five fouls in 8 minutes. Chandler said he expects to play better Mahinmi, if necessary in Game 4, simply because it had met all the nervousness of the first game.
