NBA Playoffs 2011: Why Not Oklahoma City Thunder interpretation of small ball?

With Oklahoma City against what looks like a must-win situation in Game 4 in Dallas, it is logical that the team keeps shaking your own combinations. The coach Scott Brooks, however, said that the center Kendrick Perkins offensive question is not in line for a bench press.

Perkins has started every game of the playoffs, averaging 27 minutes per game against the Mavericks. Meanwhile, the Thunder with 32 points, have outscored, while they've had come from 23 points in the protocol Perkins on the bench.
Playing a small lineup had its advantages and disadvantages of Oklahoma City. Replacement of an offensive threat Perkins help open the field to Kevin Durant, but lose the length of Perkins on the defensive more opportunities for Dirk Nowitzki would be created.

The figures may exaggerate the potential benefits of the meeting Perkins, but it's hard to believe that the Thunder would be worse with a more dangerous offensive. Havent you could stop Dallas, anyway, there is a better chance of a shootout that seems the wisest action to win.
